TRAFFIC REPRESENTATION

You may be eligible to hire an attorney to protect your driving privilege for a fee as low as $75.00, plus expenses. Every case is different so contact us today so that we may tell you how we may be able to help you with your current issue.

MOST CLIENTS ARE ABLE TO AVOID POINTS AS JUDGES ARE VERY AWARE OF THE IMPACT THAT POINTS CAN HAVE ON AN INDIVIDUAL'S ABILITY TO SECURE ADEQUATE AND AFFORDABLE INSURANCE COVERAGE, NOT TO MENTION HOW POINTS AND LICENSING ISSUES CAN IMPACT THEIR EMPLOYMENT. IF THE CLIENT HAS A DECENT DRIVING RECORD IT MAY BE IN HIS OR HER BEST INTEREST TO SIMPLY ELECTION TO TAKE THE DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE. BUT, A TROUBLED DRIVING RECORD MOST DEFINITELY REQUIRES LEGAL REPRESENTATION.

                                                          &

MOST CLIENTS NEVER HAVE TO APPEAR IN COURT EVEN IF YOU HAVE A MANDATORY COURT APPEARANCE!

Every case is different but our attorneys will give you a clear indication of what the outcome of your case will likely be.

COMMERCIAL DRIVERS

If you are issued a commercial drivers license you are not eligible to elect the driver improvement course to achieve a withhold of adjudication and avoid the imposition of points. James L. Hunter, P.A. represents trucking companies and their drivers, limousine companies, motor coach operators, heavy equipment operators, and other professional drivers who cannot afford to have points accessed to their license. We can likely help you protect your driving privilege and your employment as we have been successful in the past of achieving outcomes that do not result in points.

Recently many employers have been refusing to allow drivers with four (4) or more points from continuing their employment. We have an extensive amount of experience helping drivers who operate vehicles for a living and who receive traffic citations. Call now for a free consultation.

NONCOMMERCIAL DRIVERS

Regardless of whether you hold a commercial or noncommercial license we can reduce and sometimes eliminate the risk a traffic citation poses to your driving privilege. From simple civil infractions to criminal traffic offenses James L. Hunter, P.A. provides competent and experienced representation. Bad driving records present challenges, but we find that the benefit we confer is even greater in such a situation.

Representing individuals who have been accused of traffic related offenses is one of the most rewarding areas that we practice. Our fees are affordable and our service is effective.

REFERRAL SERVICES

WARNING: MANY INTERNET SITES ARE REFERRAL SERVICES AND NOT ATTORNEYS.
If you have questions or concerns we can legally provide answers and give you competent legal advice. The unauthorized practice of law is a 3rd degree felony. When you hire this firm we represent you and never refer your case to another firm. We are law firm not a referral service. Before you retain a lawyer through another site, ask them if they will be handling your case. As for this firm, the buck stops here. When you hire us, we take full responsibility and we proceed professionally.

Do not underestimate how being adjudicated guilty of a minor traffic citation can effect your life. WARNING: An accumulation of points, any points, will increase your insurance premiums and may cause your license to be suspended. Below is the DMV's point schedule for offenses.

Speeding, Disobeying a Traffic Control Device
Reckless
Careless
Leaving the Scene
Driving While License Suspended

Point Maximums

Your license may be suspended if you incur the following points:

* 12 points within a 12-month period―30-day suspension

* 18 points within an 18-month period―three-month suspension

* 24 points within a 36-month period―one-year suspension

If you're a minor (younger than 18), the law is even more strict; if you accrue just six points in a 12-month period, your license will be limited to "business purposes only" for one whole year. Earning more than six points in that same time period will result in an 90-day extension of your license limitations.

Points are given on the date the case is resolved. Driving out of state doesn't help, either; you'll accrue the same amount of points on your Florida license for convictions in any state or federal court.
